6 months later and not a step closer
Today it is 6 months since we got the referral of our beautiful girl. She is now 9 months old and we are not one step closer to getting her home. This is so very sad. Then to make your wait worse your agency says your only waiting 3 months. Does this include the time they lost all the papers in Vietnam? Who would ever imagine this would be the outcome, sure not us. It saddens us to see so many who signed long after us and who got referrals so long after us completing their adoptions. Congratulations to them and we are sorry we are not more excited. Hoping this is the week of more news and less Typhoons in Vietnam.

Adopted our son in 2005 and though g-d called many to adoption it was my desire to be a mom again that called me to adoption. We have one child from Kazakhstan and one from Vietnam and hope to add one more child to our family. Our dream started with China but I knew in Feb of 2006 that the projected 2 yr wait was at least 3 and I have no patience.

Oh Karrie, I am so mad for you! How frustrating!!! I really hope you get some good news soon.
I'm sorry that your having to wait so long to get your baby. I pray that you will get to hold her in your arms very soon.

I'm so sorry for the intolerable wait.I was expecting 3 or 4 months from referral to G&R, but 6 plus months is ridiculous.
And I am amazed at how many people are telling me they have seen this side of our director. Had I known I may have approached things differently. I so hope you have her soon.

I am so sorry your wait has been so long, I will be praying for you. We are also with the same agency and are almost 6 months into our wait for a referral, with no idea how much longer it will be. I also have a hard time seeing people getting referrals as soon as the get their I171H, I am happy for them, but sad for us.
After our last experience, I do not feel like asking any more questions, because I do not know what the real answer is...

I am staying at the Kimdo Hotel. It is very close to the Rex hotel - next to the Tax market.
I am getting our son today and we are supposed to have the G&R Ceremony on Friday - but that is not nailed down. I would love to meet you! My hotel number is 822-5914 and I am in room 410. If I am not there, you can leave a message with the front desk and they will put it in my room. I am lonely and would love to get together!
